Summary

This paper uses older observations as well as new ubvyβ observations from the 0.4m No.1 telescope at CTIO. The data spans 793 days and the authors give an improved period of 1.19081 +/-0.00001 days. There is a difference in magnitude during different observing seasons which could be due to either variation of σ Ori E or variation of the standard star. They report that the period is stable to 10^-5 days, the principal light curves are stable to ~0.01 mag and secular variation are less than 0.015 mag and are nearly wavelength independent.
